for some notice of the question. The following as has been provided to me by
the Minister for Corrective Services.
(1) Between 1 January 2025 and 20 May 2025 there
have been 23 distinct young people held at unit 18.
(2) Of those 23 distinct young people, 16 have had
more than one placement at unit 18, either during 2025 or in prior years.
(3) As of midnight 20 May 2025 there were nine
detainees in custody at unit 18.
