I thank the member for the question.
I do apologise; I do not actually have an answer to the last part of that question,
so I will get that for the member tomorrow.
(1) As of 17 August 2020, there are 11 147 jobseeker
profiles registered on the Studium database made up of Western Australian–based students, working
holiday-makers and other jobseekers. Studium is not a jobs board or a recruitment
agency. We have funded access to the database for Western Australian
agribusiness employers so that they can search for and connect to candidates
who match the skills or the locations of their vacancies.
(2) All the jobseeker registrations have occurred since
March 2020. The use of the platform is determined by the number of times an
employer seeks to connect with a registered jobseeker. There have been 1 235 employer-generated
connection requests, with 25 per cent of these requests being accepted by
jobseekers to enter into discussions about job prospects. In a tight labour
market, employers need to proactively pursue these interested jobseekers to
complete the recruitment process.
