I refer to Lot 351, Riverside Drive, the site of the proposed Hilton Hotel, and I ask: (a) what is the size of the lot to be used for the hotel; (b) under what arrangement will the land be used for the hotel; (c) if the land has been, or will be, sold: (i) what is, or was, the purchase price of the land sold; and (ii) what is the stamp duty on this property transaction; and (d) if the land is to be leased: (i) what are the conditions of the lease; (ii) what is the lease fee per year; and (iii) what is the term of the lease?

(a) The lease area is 2097 square metres. There is an existing concrete deck that will be used for the construction of the hotel and a surrounding boardwalk structure within the lease area.
(b) The area is currently leased to Old Perth Port Pty Ltd. It is understood that it will be seeking to sub-let the site to a third party for the purpose of constructing and operating a hotel. This request is still to be approved.
(c) (i)-(ii) Not applicable
(d) (i) The lease is a standard river reserve lease administered by the Department of Transport on behalf of the Swan River Trust.
(ii) $119 457 (to be reviewed in 2016).
(iii) The lease expires on 30 June 2016, with two additional 21 year options available (i.e. 30 June 2058).
