I refer to the RAC 'Risky Roads Survey 2024/25', and the results in relation to the top 10 risky roads in Metropolitan Perth, and I ask: (a) for the Mitchell Freeway at the West Perth section: (i) how many serious crashes occurred at or near the section in 2024; (ii) how many fatal crashes occurred at or near the section in 2024; and (iii) noting that the location was also identified in the 2022 'Risky Roads' summary, what steps have been taken, or are being planned, to remediate risk along the identified section?

a)
(i)            There were two serious crashes but no fatalities.
(ii)          Main Roads is currently investigating options to upgrade / transform the CBD section of the freeway network to reduce congestion and improve safety and reliability for all road users.  The Mitchell Freeway CBD Southbound and Northbound projects are part of the larger Transforming Perth's Freeways strategic program.
Development work for these two projects is ongoing
