CORONAVIRUS — GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS —
EASING
810. Hon AARON STONEHOUSE to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
I refer the minister to the
government's decision to extend the current phase 4 restrictions to at
least Saturday, 24 October, as announced earlier this week, at which point
recommendations from the Chief Health Officer were cited, including advice that it could take two months or longer for the
outbreaks in Victoria to be fully under control.
(1) Precisely
what prerequisites has the Chief Health Officer recommended be met prior to
moving from phase 4 restrictions to phase 5?
(2) What prerequisites, if any, has the Chief Health
Officer recommended be met before moving from phase 5 restrictions to
phase 6, when all remaining state restrictions are said to be lifted?
(3) Is the recommendation to extend phase 4 for two
months based upon a recommendation by the Chief Health Officer that no
community transmission be present in any other state?
