The focus for developing the brand for the region was to promote the Peel Region as a natural choice for “visitation”, “investment” and “lifestyle”. While many slogans and attributes of the Peel region were discussed it was agreed that “Peel - Your Natural Choice” best summarised the attributes of the region. The Commission arranged to have the branding tested in the market place and it has received positive acknowledgment. This initiative appeared in the Peel Development Commission’s budget statements for 2002-03 as presented to the Legislative Assembly on May 16th 2002. 2. No. Considerable resources have been expended on the current logo and its penetration into the Region. At present, it is not proposed to change the brand message.
