(1-2) Metropolitan Region Scheme (MRS) Amendment 1082/33 - Bush Forever and Related Lands passed through both Houses of Parliament without disallowance on 17 September 2010. However, the text in Schedule 6 was in draft form only, and therefore is required to go through an additional amendment process.
The Department of Planning is currently considering advice from the State Solicitor's Office (SSO) to establish whether the MRS text amendment constitutes a minor or major amendment. If it is considered to be a minor amendment, it will be subject to an abbreviated process and should take 7 to 12 months to complete. If it is considered to be a major amendment, the process will take 18 to 24 months.
