The Office of the Auditor General's (OAG) Report on Financial Audit Results – State Government 2025 released on 3 December 2025 noted a large number of agencies did not have their financial statements ready in time for auditing which consequently resulted in a number of agencies not being able to table their Annual Reports by the required deadline of 30 September. Can the Premier please advise: (a) How many Annual Reports were not tabled by the required deadline of 30 September 2025; and (b) Whether he is concerned by the OAG’s findings with respect to agencies' preparedness for auditing of financial statements: (i) If not, why not; (ii) If so, what action he has taken to ensure a better level of preparedness for 2026; (iii) Is it intended that a Premier’s Circular will be issued to remind agencies of their obligations to have financial statements prepared in a timely manner; (iv) If so, when will it be issued; and (v) If not, why not?
