I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1)-(2) Further to my reply to question without notice 921 on 24 October 2006 to Hon Murray Criddle, MLC, the Department for Planning and Infrastructure has been examining the non-government school registration advisory panel’s population projections for the Esperance region. It is my understanding that the panel will soon meet again to further consider its report and recommendation in response to DPI’s comments. The School Education Act 1999 provides for the minister to consider the panel’s report prior to making a decision. The panel does not announce its recommendations.
