(1) Yes (2) School Education Act 1999 Section 182 (3) Proclamation of Section 182 (3) would have prevented continuation of non-government school per capita funding to students older than 17 years of age who are enrolled at non-government schools. Under the former Act, students up to 19 years of age were eligible for funding. CURRICULUM COUNCIL (1) Nil (2) Not applicable DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING (1) Yes. (2) School Education Act 1999 (WA): · Section 182(3) – refer to response from the Department of Education Services. · Section 208 – In order to protect the safety and welfare of children at a community kindergarten, this section provides for various regulations that apply to government schools to also apply to kindergartens. However, when the School Education Regulations 2000 (WA) were drafted, it became apparent that many of the regulations relating to the management and control of government school premises could not automatically be applied to community kindergartens, due to the different management and operational circumstances of community kindergarten Vocational Education and Training Act 1996 (WA): · Part 7 and Schedule 2 (which is consequential to that Part) – Discussion with interested parties is currently underway in relation to these provisions.
