(a) None. In the past 18 months there have been no applications for Regional Event Scheme funding from the North West of the State. Currently EventsCorp, the event division of the Western Australian Tourism commission is working with the Shire of Broome, other parties and the Australian Volleyball Federation to explore the hosting of a leg of the World Beach Volleyball Tour in Broome in May 2004. If it eventuates this event would be part of the 2004 Olympic qualification process and feature both men's and women's events.
