The $28 million saving was part of the Barnett Government’s Agency Expenditure Review announced as part of the 2015/16 State Budget Mid-Year Review on 21 December 2015. This required the Public Transport Authority to identify savings of $103.2 million over 2016-17 and across the forward estimates period.
