The Department of Housing advises:
(1) 210 dwellings are being built on Department owned land that is being transferred to Community Housing Organisations under the RFP. The remainder of the transfer dwellings come from Joint Venture land and EOI land/construction projects.
(2) The current estimate on total Department land being transferred is $17.4M. This figure is taken from the final contract price, and may not accurately reflect the current market value of the land. The Department's Major Projects branch is currently organising valuations of land to be transferred with various project managers as part of the Asset Transfer Process.  This process has not yet been completed, so valuations are not yet to hand.
