I refer to the National Fuel Security Plan, and I ask:(a) Can the Minister please confirm when Western Australia signed up to the National Fuel Security Plan, and when it took affect, including date and time;(b) Can the Minister please confirm at what date and time the initial "Level" of the National Fuel Security plan commenced, including date and time;(c) In relation to (b), can the Minister please confirm the date and time the Western Australian Government was advised of this;(d) For each time that the "Level" has changed since (b), can the Minister please provide the date and time of the change in level, as well as the date and time the Western Australian Government was advised;(e) Can the Minister please explain the Western Australian Government role, if any, in assisting the Commonwealth to determine the level;(f) In relation to (e), what hard data is supplied from the Western Australian Governmentto the Commonwealth for this purpose;(g) In relation to (e), what body within the Western Australian Governmentis chiefly responsible for the provision of this advice; and(h) In relation to (e), has the Western Australian Government at any point advocated for a higher level of the National Fuel Security Plan than the existing level at the relevant time, and if yes, can the dates on which this advocacy was made please be provided?

Western Australia agreed to the National Fuel Security Plan at the National Cabinet Meeting on 30 March 2026. Following the meeting, National Cabinet announced that Australia was at level 2 – Keeping Australia Moving, having transitioned through level 1 – Plan and Prepare.
Western Australia will continue to engage with the Commonwealth on the National Fuel Security Plan. Any shift in level will be signalled by National Cabinet.
