(1) The terms of reference are that:
..The performance of each Independent Public School is to be independently reviewed by the Department of Education Services.
..The independent review of an Independent Public School is to verify that the school has met its commitments as outlined in the Delivery and Performance Agreement between the school and the Director-General of Education.
.. The independent review of an Independent Public School will take place in the final year of the school's Delivery and Performance Agreement.
(2)-(3) The review of each individual Independent Public School is being managed by the Department of Education Services on behalf of the Government. This department is not an education provider and currently manages the registration of non-government schools in Western Australia. Each review of an Independent Public School will be undertaken by education consultants contracted by the Department of Education Services. The review of each Independent Public School is separate to the independent evaluation of the IPS initiative which is being undertaken by the University of Melbourne.
