AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) The head
count for dentists employed as dental officers is one and full-time equivalent,
0.16; head count for dental therapists who provide dental services under
supervision of a dentist, three and FTE, 1.2; head count for dental clinic
assistants, the equivalent of a dental nurse is two, and FTE, 1.4. It should be
noted that dental technicians are laboratory based and do not work in dental
therapy centres.
(2) There were 528 examinations or
check-ups; and 4 486 treatment items via 1 227 patient visits.
(3) Australind
Primary School, Australind Senior High School and Kingston Primary School fall
within the catchment area for the centre.
