(1) (a) - (b) WA Police advise that a response cannot be provided as current databases do not differentiate between the owners of vehicles or trailers whose registration labels did not comply with the law. This would require a special program to be developed.

(2)(a) If dealt with by way of a Traffic Infringement Notice, under Regulation 3 of the Road Traffic (Infringements) Regulations 1975, the penalty is $50.
If dealt with by way of court under Section 107 of the Road Traffic Act 1974, the penalty is $1600.
If dealt with by way of court under Regulation 39 of the Road Traffic (Licensing) Regulations 1975, the penalty is $200 for a first offence and $400 for a subsequent offence.
