(1) The Government does not intend a direct return to Treasury. I hope, however, that the Hon Member will recognize the benefit of over $20 million that is not being incurred by Government to fund the entire cost of a rectangular pitch stadium. Neither is the Government to meet the recurrent expenses of operating the stadium. (2) The Government is seeking to ensure the private sector operator of the stadium is bound to provide community access similar to the arrangements which operate under the agreement at Subiaco Oval.
