INSURANCE LEGISLATION
AMENDMENT (MOTOR VEHICLE CLAIMS HARVESTING) BILL 2023
291. Hon TJORN SIBMA to the minister representing the
Treasurer:
I refer again to the Insurance
Legislation Amendment (Motor Vehicle Claims Harvesting) Bill 2023, which now
appears to have dropped off the government's legislative agenda.
(1) Is it still
the government's intention to progress the bill this parliamentary year
in the form it was originally introduced?
(2) If yes to (1), when?
(3) If no to (1),
will the government progress an amended bill, or rescind it and introduce a new
bill that deals only with the specific issue of motor vehicle insurance claims
harvesting?
