I refer to college outcomes in the 2010 Performance Agreements for TAFE colleges, and ask -
(1) Why have the College Managing Directors been expected to sign agreements, that they would demonstrate progress towards the achievement of programs, to support the Western Australian Workforce Development Plan, given that the Plan wasn’t due to be finalised until October this year?

The Managing Directors' 2010 Performance Agreements require the State Training Providers to contribute to the Department of Training and Workforce Development's broader workforce planning and development goals. This includes the Western Australian Workforce Development Plan which is scheduled to be released in 2010.
The State Training Providers contribution to the workforce development planning processes will complement the annual planning discussions on training priorities and funding which are normally finalised in November of each year.
