An additional equivalent of 26 palliative care beds was purchased for public patients from government hospitals, many of which have a single room available for palliative care patients. (3) The Commonwealth allocates funds for palliative care through the Australian Health Care Agreement equivalent to 18% of the current WA palliative care budget.
