I refer to the proposed environmental impact statement for the RTZ Exploration (Australia) Pty Ltd uranium mine at Kintyre. (1) Is the minister aware that the Martu have been involved in lengthy negotiations with RTZ and the National Native Title Tribunal over native title? (2) Is the minister aware that in 1997, the Martu unanimously decided that until the environmental impact statement had been completed, no further native title negotiations were to take place? (3) Can the minister advise whether the environmental impact statement will be made available for public response? Hon PETER FOSS
