The West Australian reported on 26 April 2003 that it will cost $100 million a year to keep the Mandurah rail project operating. Can the minister advise how the Government proposes to finance the $100 million a year cost of operating the rail project, given the commitment to run budget surpluses to retain Western Australia’s AAA credit rating?
