(a) Please note that since the beginning of the school year, there are three school age children at the Patjarr Community who are enrolled with the School of the Air. The room is approximately 12 square metres in size and is supplemented by a smaller locked storage area.
(b) The lease provides for exclusive use of the room and locked storage area to the Department of Education for use as classroom facilities.
(c) The Department of Education was not involved in the decision for Patjarr residents to relocate. However, the Department did support the family with the enrolment of their children at the Coolgardie school.
(c)(i) None. It is not the role of the Department of Education to provide housing.
(d) and (d)(i) I understand that the Indigenous Coordination Centre for that region has provided information that there is an objective to create jobs where possible across the Ngaanyatjarra Communities and that there are likely to be very few created at Patjarr.
(e) The enrolments at Patjarr will be continuously monitored to ensure that appropriate educational programs are available to the children at Patjarr.
(e)(i) Not applicable.
