ROAD SAFETY — FUNDING PACKAGE
1. 474. Mrs M.H. ROBERTS to
the Minister for Road Safety:
I have a supplementary question. Minister, where are the 64 000
hours of additional traffic patrols?
Mr C.J. Barnett interjected.
Mrs
M.H. ROBERTS : The Premier can make a joke of this, but it is costing lives
on our roads.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Member for
Midland!
Mrs
M.H. ROBERTS : I seek to ask my supplementary question. What has happened to
the promised 64 000 hours that the minister has not delivered?

AnswerView source ↗

With a question seeking information of that specific nature,
I request that the member put it on notice.
Mrs M.H. Roberts :
I have put it on notice; I asked the minister during the estimates hearings.
You have broken your promise. Admit that you've broken your promise.
Mrs L.M. HARVEY :
Complex and detailed statistical information on the number of actual traffic
hours performed in a calendar year are more appropriately requested on notice.
Mrs
M.H. Roberts : Too interested in the fashion festival to know about road
safety.
The SPEAKER : Thank you very
much, member for Midland! I call you to order for the first time.
