524. Hon PETER COLLIER to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for Sport and
Recreation:
I refer to the Stephen Michael
Foundation.
(1) Was $350 000
over three years provided to the Stephen Michael Foundation from the Local
Projects, Local Jobs program?
(2) If yes to (1), can the minister
confirm that the funding will cease from 30 June 2020?
(3) If yes to (2), why will there
not be ongoing funding for the foundation after 30 June 2020?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(2) Yes. A three-year funding commitment was made for
$350 000 over three years, made up of $175 000 for 2017–18, $105 000 for 2018–19 and
$70 000 for 2019–20. The 2019–20 agreement concludes on 30 June
2020.
(3) The Stephen Michael Foundation has secured $150 000
per annum for the next two years from Healthway, and an additional $521 000
from Lotterywest over a three-year period.
