For the 11 February 2016 pay period, total paid teacher award FTE levels in primary and secondary schools were as follows:
Primary: 11,010 FTE
Secondary: 6,850 FTE
The above includes all teachers and school administrators including principals, but excludes school psychologists. Teachers and principals in district high schools, Education Support schools, and a number of other school types are not coded as either “primary” or “secondary” in the Department of Education’s human resource systems. Total Department teaching award FTE (including Central and Regional FTE) for the 11 February 2016 pay period is 21,378 FTE.
