I ask this question on behalf of the Leader of the Opposition. I refer the parliamentary secretary to the petroleum resource rent tax and ask - (1) When was the PRRT introduced by the Commonwealth Government? (2) Did the Commonwealth obtain agreement for the arrangement with the Western Australian State Government of the day? Hon KEN TRAVERS

(2) As far as the Minister for State Development is aware, the Commonwealth Government was not required to obtain agreement from the Western Australian Government for the introduction of these arrangements and did not seek to obtain such an agreement.
