HEALTH
SYSTEM — RESTRUCTURE
877. Ms L. METTAM to the Minister for Health:
I have a supplementary question. Can
the minister advise what the nature of the restructure is?

AnswerView source ↗

The nature of the restructure is a very
small recalibration to make sure that the system manager is doing just that. It
is an assertive system manager who is helping to manage record delivery of
infrastructure, record workforce recruitment, record IT and digital
transformation and supporting those health services to deliver health care for Western
Australians by managing the state health operation system. SHOC is a new part
of our system manager that did not exist before; it now exists. The WA virtual
emergency department is a new part of our system that did not exist before, but it now exists. Therefore,
the system manager needs to recalibrate to support the new innovations ,
investment and reform that this government is undertaking.
