LOTTERYWEST GRANTS —
RISK ASSESSMENT
1308. Hon MICHAEL MISCHIN to the Leader of the House
representing the Premier:
I refer to evidence regarding the operations
of Lotterywest taken by the Standing Committee on Estimates and Financial
Operations on 19 November 2020.
(1) What is the risk assessment
applied to applications for grants that may otherwise have merit?
(2) Precisely what are the criteria
against which Lotterywest assesses risk?
(3) If harm is one of those
criteria, how is that harm assessed and against what objective standard?
(4) Is a detailed
assessment of harm recorded to ensure transparency, accountability and
consistency on the part of the Lotterywest board; and, if so, how; and, if not,
why not?
