(1) I refer to answer (2c) provided to Hon Nick Goiran's question on notice to the Standing Committee on Estimates and Financial Operations, Department of Health hearing on 16 June 2016 and I ask, in regards to the 70 cases that were performed by inducing labour with prostglandins, what is the recognised practice in Western Australia of ensuring that the unborn baby is delivered dead? (2) In regards to the two cases that were performed by selective termination, what selective termination techniques were implemented?

(1) Feticide is performed for those cases where there is an expectation that the unborn baby would survive if it were to be delivered.
(2) Standard selective termination techniques were employed, that being injection of potassium chloride into the fetal circulation under ultrasound guidance.
