(b) This project is being delivered in four stages. Stages 1, a length of 25 km (Tom Price to Nanutarra - Munjina Road) was competed and opened to traffic in December 2003 at a cost of $25.9 million. An Alliance contract for stage 2, a 90km length between Karratha and Baroowanna Hill was awarded on 19 August 2005 and is expected to be completed in 2008.
