(1) Two.
(2) The Public Transport Authority.
(3) Perth.
(4) The funding for the feasibility study will be provided from within the Public Transport Authority operating budget for 2008/09. It is estimated that the cost of the study is $300,000.
(5) Only one alignment is being considered and that is utilising the Mandurah line from Perth as far as Ankatell, then proceeding down the median of the Kwinana Freeway to the Perth-Bunbury Highway to Lake Preston, there along the reservation of the Old Coast Road from Lake Preston to Australind along the Australind Bypass to just south of the Sanctuary Golf Course, and then utilising existing rail corridors as much as possible to Koombana Bay.
