I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided to me by
the Minister for Seniors and Ageing.
(1) Extensive
consultation occurred in developing an age-friendly WA seniors strategy 2023–33,
with more than 2 600 people participating through face-to-face and online
consultation sessions, a hardcopy and online survey, and phone interviews and
submissions. Targeted consultation sessions and presentations were held for
local government, peak bodies, non-government organisations and individuals.
Eight formal submissions were received as part of the strategy consultation
from peak bodies and non-government organisations. In addition, 16 state
government agencies participated in the consultation and development of the
strategy through a cross-agency project working group.
(2) Soon.
