I refer to a recent media release from the Minister for Corrective Services dated Monday, 5 May 2008, entitled “New scheme for young offenders in the Goldfields” and the minister’s response to question without notice 278. (1) When will the Kimberley response task force report its recommendations on sentencing options, diversionary programs for youth and supervision of juveniles? (2) Is the government planning to expand youth regional justice services, similar to those in the goldfields and Geraldton, to the Kimberley? (3) If yes to (2), when will they be operational?
