RevenueWA does not hold data on the total number of first home buyers in Western Australia. RevenueWA collects data on the number of applications received and determined for the first home owner grant and the first home owner concessional rate of duty. Not all first home buyers will apply for, or be eligible to receive, the grant or duty concession.
(3) (a) 4,029
(b) 6,503
(c) 8,699
The results report on established home transactions assessed under the first home owner rate of duty in each financial year.
(4) (a) $86,822,503
(b) $113,642,553
(c) $148,152,369
The results report on established homes and vacant land transactions assessed under the first home owner rate of duty in each financial year. The budgetary cost of the concession calculates the difference between the first home owner rate of duty charged and the general rate of duty. The calculation does not contemplate any foreign buyers duty that may apply.
