Department of the Premier and Cabinet advises: (1) Mrs Ford has been engaged as a consultant to provide services to the Minister for Public Sector Management to undertake a review of the Department for Community Development on a contract for service for a period ending 31 January 2007. (2) Mrs Ford is an experienced former senior public sector executive with the appropriate skills and experience to make recommendations on an organisational structure and funding model that will ensure child protection as its primary focus. Mrs Ford will be assisted by an advisory group of experts from the child protection and related areas. Details of this group have been provided in the answer to Question on Notice 1450. Mrs Ford will also be able to access any other sources of expert advice she considers necessary to assist her in completing the review.
