I refer to the average cost for a bed per day in a sub-acute unit, which has
dramatically decreased from an actual of $830 per day in 2013-2014 to $612 in
2014-2015, and I ask: (a) were the savings made reinvested into funding additional sub-acute beds; and (b) if no to (a), why not?

(a) No
(b) The decrease from an actual of $830 per day in 2013/14 to $612 in 2014/15 was the result of increased bed occupancy in 2014/15 compared to bed occupancy in 2013/14. Therefore the average cost per bedday was reduced because more beddays were provided in 2014/15 in comparison to 2013/14.
