The Department of Consumer and Employment Protection (DOCEP) advises:
(a) Employees provided the information to the Fair Employment Advocate (FEA) on a confidential basis.
(b) The FEA is continuing to work with major oil companies, franchisees and employees to expose and eliminate this practice from the industry. The DOCEP is currently contacting employees where it has been alleged that this practice exists to provide employees with an opportunity to have their allegations investigated and resolved.
