(1) Nil. There are no officers employed by WA Police as Special Constables, however there are officers from other agencies and jurisdictions recorded as Special Constable.
(2) Special Constable status is required to meet legislative requirements when these officers are undertaking certain policing duties in Western Australia. Special Constables are either employees of the Public Transport Authority or officers from other Federal and State policing jurisdictions.
