The deadline for submissions was 17 September 2008. The election occurred on 6 September 2008. (2) Yes. (3) Not applicable. (4) Building company Cooper & Oxley Builders was awarded the construction contract on 14 November 2008. The construction contract is for $37.187 million. The total funding package of $54.54 million inclusive of the previous figure has been provided for the relocation of Midland saleyards. The total funding package covers all land, and previous and future construction costs. (5) The new facility will be operational in early 2010. The construction program is running to schedule and budget.
