CORONAVIRUS —
WEST TO EAST GAS PIPELINE
488. Hon ALISON XAMON to the minister representing the
Minister for Energy:
I ask this question on behalf of Hon
Tim Clifford, who is on urgent parliamentary business.
I
refer to the National COVID-19 Coordination Commission's consideration
of a gas pipeline from Western Australia to the east coast.
(1) Has the
minister, the Premier or a representative of either discussed the potential of
a west to east gas pipeline with the NCCC, or has a discussion been scheduled?
(2) Is the
minister concerned that NCCC chair Nev Power's advocacy for the
development of onshore gas via the NCCC is a conflict of interest due to Mr
Power's involvement and connection with the industry?
