DAMPIER TO BUNBURY NATURAL GAS PIPELINE - EXPANSION PROJECT
I refer to the Dampier to Bunbury stage 5 expansion project, and to the crop that is near harvest on the pipeline reserve, the loss of production due to the imminent progress of construction work and the loss of any income. (1) Will producers be compensated for any loss of income incurred by the construction of the natural gas pipeline expansion project? (2) Will the project be managed so as not to interfere with production from the coming harvest? Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH

(1) No. Landowners in the current Dampier to Bunbury natural gas pipeline expansion project areas have already been compensated under section 42 of the Dampier to Bunbury Pipeline Act 1997 for the taking of state corridor rights in the Dampier to Bunbury natural gas pipeline corridor and cannot claim further compensation. (2) The state has no involvement with the management of the Dampier to Bunbury natural gas pipeline expansion project.
