(1) I refer to the recent announcement that the Robe River joint venture partners have reached agreement to share rail infrastructure in the Pilbara with Hamersley Iron, which relates in particular to development of the West Angelas iron ore deposit, and ask will the Minister ensure that third party access to the railway on reasonable terms will be possible, should it be necessary?
(2) If not, why not?
(3) Will the corridor which was established for the previously proposed new railway be maintained?

(1-2) Third party access provisions exist under the clauses of the various iron ore State Agreements operated by both Rio Tinto and the Robe River joint venturers. The State has advised the parties of the need to address these specific provisions in respect to the commercial arrangement that has been put in place to enable the West Angelas project to proceed. The issue is being progressed with both companies as part of the development proposals under the Iron Ore (Robe River) Agreement Act 1964. (3) Yes.
(3) Yes.
