MINISTER
FOR LANDS — VEHICLES
639. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Lands:
I refer to question on notice 1037 regarding motor vehicles
leased or owned by agencies in the minister's portfolio.
(1) Does LandCorp own or lease any vehicles?
(2) If yes —
(a) why was it not able to provide
an answer to the question; and
(b) will the minister now arrange
for an answer to the question to be tabled?
(3) If no to (1), how does LandCorp arrange vehicles for its
staff to use for work purposes?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
(1)–(2)
LandCorp does not provide vehicles on a comparable basis to other state
government departments as it also owns industrial and commercial vehicles at
the Australian Marine Complex, as well as providing passenger vehicles for
operational fleet purposes. LandCorp's fleet is administered based on
Western Australian government fleet policy and guidelines to the extent
practicable given that LandCorp is a corporatised government trading
enterprise. LandCorp is able to lease vehicles outside government leasing
arrangements.
LandCorp will provide information
on all vehicles leased from State Fleet and vehicles LandCorp owns or leases
under other arrangements.
