(1) Following recent comment by the Minister for Police and Emergency Services that he would be asking for submissions from the Commissioner of Police and the Director of Public Prosecutions. (2) The Commissioner of Police and the Director of Public prosecutions. (3a-c & 4) Discussions have taken place between the Police and the Director of Public Prosecutions incorporating suggestions from serving members and the Western Australian Police Union of Workers. It is not intended to broaden the submission to include families; however as is open to all members of the community, family members may make a submission on legislative change to their Member of Parliament. (5) It is not expected that the review will be completed until late April 2006 which will enable proper assessment and consideration of all relevant factors
