(a) No. WACHS continues to support the ongoing delivery of antenatal clinic and post-natal care. Carnarvon women are fully funded for relocating to access birthing services, including full cost of accommodation, travel and groceries
(b-c) WA Country Health Service currently has an open recruitment process for General Practitioner or GP obstetricians (GPO) and GP anaesthetists (GPA) for Carnarvon Health Campus. Since February 2022, there have been four recruitment drives for both GPA and GPO.
(d) 25 applications have been received to date, with no applicants meeting requirements for GP obstetricians registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
