I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
(1)–(3)
The Ministerial Merit Panel comprises senior officers from the Department of
the Premier and Cabinet. The Ministerial Merit Panel has existed for many years
and is the same process that was used by the former government to assess
appointment and remuneration matters for ministerial officers. There is no
conflict of interest on behalf of these staff. If the honourable member would
like these public servants named, she is encouraged to submit a freedom of
information application so that the appropriate consultation under the act can
be made.
