I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following has been provided by the Minister
for Health.
(1)–(2) Two
sites were identified as having an appropriate workforce to operate on
Saturdays. They are Joondalup and Rockingham, which currently offer weekend
appointments.
The
Cook Labor government has provided an additional $39 million in the 2024–25
state budget to support an additional 100 FTE across a range of clinical
disciplines and sites.
The child development service will
continue to seek to expand the number of sites open on a Saturday subject to
workforce availability.
The PRESIDENT : I remind members that it is difficult for
Hansard to hear when there is background noise. Hansard needs to hear
just as the parliamentary secretary needs to read the question out.
