(1) The rate paid to registered training providers for the delivery of training qualifications is the same for both Indigenous and non-Indigenous trainees and apprentices.
(2) These rates are subject to annual indexation aligned to the CPI and as determined by the Department's budget allocation. For the past three years, an increase of 2% per annum has been applied to apprenticeship and traineeship training delivery payment rates for both State Training Providers and private training providers.
(3 - 5) There is no single training delivery payment rate for apprentices and trainees as there are a number of factors which affect the rate paid to registered training providers for the delivery of apprenticeship and traineeship qualifications. These include:
· the industry classification of the qualification;
· the AQF level of the qualification;
· the region (including remote locations) that the qualification is being delivered in;
· the nature of the qualification (i.e. apprenticeship or traineeship); and
· whether the delivery is undertaken by a State Training Provider or a Private Training Provider.
As a consequence of the above factors there are many hundreds of different training delivery payment rates which are applied through the Department of Training and Workforce Development's funding arrangements for apprenticeship and traineeship qualifications.
These rates are subject to annual indexation aligned to the CPI and as determined by the Department's budget allocation. For the past three years, an increase of 2% per annum has been applied to apprenticeship and traineeship training delivery payment rates for both State Training Providers and private training providers.
